Less of me, more of You

Mark 2: Jesus Calls Levi (Matthew)

¹³ Then Jesus went out to the lakeshore again and taught the crowds that were coming to him. ¹⁴ As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Levi got up and followed him.

¹⁵ Later, Levi invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners. (There were many people of this kind among Jesus’ followers.) ¹⁶ But when the teachers of religious law who were Pharisees^[b] saw him eating with tax collectors and other sinners, they asked his disciples, “Why does he eat with such scum?”

¹⁷ When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

February 23, 2026. Saturday after praying and listening to the Bible, as breakfast was eaten, I received a message from the owner of the next place here in La Romana the Holy Spirit was sending me to, leaving the Hotel as a stay. Got to get the laundry done by the one of the workers of the Hotel, prayed with them, said goodbye and called a taxi app as heard. The reaction before each move is different, waited a few minutes as there was a godly conversation with the manager of the Hotel. When the taxi arrived the woman who owns the next place which turned out to be a few blocks away from the Hotel was spoken to and she guided the taxi driver. When arriving to the next place which the Holy Spirit led to as where to specifically stay as that is where the purposes also get accomplished. The woman greeted me, we prayed, she has been going to Christian church for many years, the testimony of the giving my life to Jesus, getting baptized and been called was shared then I ate something and took a nap, as usually the night before the change of country or town I don’t get much sleep.

This picture above is in Nicaragua, which I had shared the testimony in the blog post before where I was sent to an island called Ometepe where I was sent by the Holy Spirit because of all the spiritual situations happening there and there was no one physically sitting next to me when taking the picture and that is the Lord’s shadow. The Lord was showing one of the leaders of the group that was part of the extortion on the island that the Lord is with me, he was the only one who did not repent, and the Lord told him thru me that there would be consequences.

After waking up from the nap, was led to unpack everything, which I don’t always get to do, as depending on the place and what there is; I have to keep everything in the suitcase, with the suitcase open to get the items needed. In this place there is a hanging space with hangers, drawers and it is equip with the items needed, such as a kitchen with a tabletop stove, gas tank, table, chairs, a couch, a small fridge, a microwave, a blender, pots, which is so nice, as again depending on where the Holy Spirit has me stay there are different items or not, sometimes staying in a room with a bathroom, sometimes the bathroom being outside, sometimes there is only a bed, but the Lord makes sure what is needed for the souls in the Great Commission is there. Sometimes we have so much and don’t realize other people’s lack of them until we go thru it and or live it. There have been countries where the Holy Spirit sends me where people have never seen a shower, water comes once a month, they have only eaten one thing all their lives, have never seen a stove, in some countries I would get 10 minutes of warm water, some have calcium situations with their water, and they are so thankful, as that is what they have known. It is nice to be able to make something to eat, boil an egg, we have so much to be thankful for to the Lord, Jesus, Holy Spirit.

In the night I was led to go downstairs to get the name and password for the internet, which is included with the studio rent, which the Holy Spirit led me as to who to ASK for the money for the 15 days that was paid here. I have heard the Holy Spirit will have me here for a while, to which HE will lead as to who to ask or will send the provision HIMSELF, all for the souls in the Great Commission. While downstairs there was a woman and the owner who rents this place, whom each go to different Christian churches, are neighbors and help one another with the renting app. We spoke about the things of God and as the Holy Spirit led me to share and answer. The grandson of the owner put the password in the laptop and the phone, and we ended with a prayer. The next day I was led to stay in, rest, refill, recharge, listening to the word and a sermon in the morning, as the Holy Spirit leads to what to listen to and where, as far as messages that will convict, recharge and speak into our souls. In the night the owner of the apartment called me that if I could join them in praying for a woman that has cancer and I heard for them to come up here and that we sit on the terrace. We sat there, as there were other people on one of the ladies’ phones, I was led for us to read Psalm 91, we prayed and then we sat for a bit and spoke about the things of God. Then I was led to go to the woman’s home that lives across the street to pray and give word as the Holy Spirit leads, being connected thru the phone with a woman she has known for a while who also needed some understanding and prayer from the Holy Spirit. I was reminded of the importance of being where the Holy Spirit wants and needs us to be, as that is where HE will unfold everything, all for those who are meant to understand and have Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

The next day I had $50 Dominican pesos and was led to ask a few people including a woman that I was led to pray with and testify to who ended up being led to send me $2000 pesos which served for all that was done through the day including going to a drug point where the police arrived as I was sent there and the young people pulled me into their side which was an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus with them and a prayer led by the Holy Spirit. Then I was led to walk back giving the Good News of Jesus paper, getting my hair colored to cover the grey, sharing the Good News of Jesus with the people in the hair salon and praying with them as the Holy Spirit led. While walking back I was led to go into a tattoo shop where there was a young woman who cleaned my top ear piercing, who mentioned that it was the best looking top earing that she had seen heal, to which I shared that I had prayed and shared the Good News of Jesus paper with her. The Good News of Jesus was also shared in the supermarket where I was led to go into and get some needed breakfast items. I was then led to tell the man who recently got baptized that I had been led by the Lor to tell him that my purpose in his life was the baptism and that was all. I was reminded of when Phillip was sent to the Ethiopian Enoch: Acts 8: Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch ²⁶ Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south^[a] to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. ²⁷ And he rose and went. And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship ²⁸ and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. ²⁹ And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” ³⁰ So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” ³¹ And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. ³² Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth.
³³ In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken away from the earth.”

³⁴ And the eunuch said to Philip, “About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” ³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. ³⁶ And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?”^[b] 38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. ³⁹ And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

I was led to get two dresses in a Christian Paca, which are stores where they sell used and new clothe, but they need to be washed before worn as they have been in boxes or packages for a while. I was led to wash them by hand in the kitchen sink to be hung outside. At the end of the night a brother in Christ after I was led to ask for $100 dollars which served to get some clothes detergents needed to do the laundry, as well as some healthy food items, the rest that was left will be spent as led by the Holy Spirit. Thankful for those who have prayed for both my daughter and I, as well as those who have been of monetary support, all for the souls in the Great Commission.

Jesus wants you to know that He loves you. He wants a relationship with you. Jesus is the way, the truth, the life, and the only way to God. If we repent and proclaim Jesus as our God and Savior, we receive the Holy Spirit, are baptized by immersion in water, and begin a new life where we have forgiveness, we are never alone, we become the Lord’s legitimate sons and daughters, healing, purpose, eternal life, and much more. Talk to Jesus and surrender your life to Him; He wants to hear from you.
