Less of me, more of You

Reading from Matthew 3 and John 3.

February 19, 2026. Today woke up after a couple of days sick from my stomach, recuperating and recharging with the Lord, as I shared in the previous blog post. Then I heard today that we have to go out to the hospital where the motor taxi driver was going to drop me off. I ordered some breakfast on an online app, listened to the Bible on the Book of Ephesians, put on the full armor, prayed for my daughter as always and the town the Holy Spirit has me in and headed out. There were a few motorcycle taxi drivers on the corner, and I signaled that way and one came over, I gave him the Good News of Jesus paper and told him I am a missionary who needed to go to the hospital to bring the Good News of Jesus, as we read in John 14:6 and Romans 10. The hospital he dropped me off at was not too far, about 3 minutes away. When arriving there was a woman at the entrance and the motorcycle driver told her to help me out to share the message, she showed me where the first full area was, the Good News of Jesus was given out loud and with the paper then she told me about the second floor and I headed upstairs to do the same, prayed for the hole hospital to be filled with the Holy Spirit and one of the elderly doctors told me to please come more often, as it sometimes happens, as the people feel the fruit of the Holy Spirit; Love.

When coming out of the hospital I was led to pray that anything that was released there would go wherever it needed to go, as well as to be covered by the full armor and there is a barbershop across from the hospital and there were two men one standing and one sitting on the sidewalk, the focus was the one sitting on the sidewalk, to which I was led to give both the message and sit with the one sitting on the sidewalk; I heard pastor, to which I asked if he is a pastor and he said a lot of people have told him that, he had a hard time he mentioned with the teachers of the law who make being a Christian so hard, we had a conversation, I was led to pray with him as he mentioned he had accepted Jesus but not gotten baptized, for the anointing of the Holy Spirit like it was done with Saul who became Paul in the Book of the Bible called Acts we can read about this. Then I started hearing lunch, he needs lunch, to which I told him that we needed to get him lunch, and he started walking back and forth and crying, as a few minutes before the Holy Spirit sent me there, he was talking to the Lord about his needs, as he just started working there and had not eaten anything and needed the Lord, he humbled himself before the Lord and that is when the Lord works, when we acknowledge we need HIM as a savior. The man mentioned he used to be a gang member to which he showed me the tattoo on his back that says: Mara and has the cross with Jesus inside, which is something people do when in the gangs for protection, they also are told to put other tattoos on them, as the devil loves branding people, but the Lord uses that when people are chosen for the testimony, everything in our lives when we come to Jesus is used to minister to others thru live example, we get to relate to those we will minister, just like Jesus and the people that came before us, as we read in the Book of Revelations, the book of Acts, the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and all of the Bible.

1 Peter 4:13: “But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.” 1

Galatians 6:2: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” 1

Romans 12:15: “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” 

The Holy Spirit does not have us focus on what the person has done or is doing but what that person WILL become when repented and coming to Jesus, plus once the prayer of salvation is done and Jesus is proclaimed there is forgiveness and the Lord does not remind us of our past transgressions, only the Devil will remind us of the past and have us concerned about the future. We went to the restaurant near to the Hotel the Holy Spirit has me in, introduced him to the other man that has been another one of the focuses in the area, we had lunch, as people came in and out the Good News of Jesus was given, conversations about Christianity was had. While in the restaurant a man came in saying that giving people the Good News was not so important as giving them a plate of food and or doing a deed for them, then he said he is Catholic, which made sense as their main teaching is the salvation thru being “good” and deeds, the Good News of Jesus was given to him out loud, other words the Holy Spirit had me say, praying that he has an encounter with the Holy Spirit thru Jesus so that he could be saved and experience all the Lord has. I heard the man who was spoken to outside the barbershop needed to get baptized, that we should go to the nearby beach, he agreed and I went to get the things to go and he waited by the restaurant, I prayed that the Lord’s kingdom to come and will to be done, we took a bus there, in the bus the Good News of Jesus was given and there were a group of women who were just talking about Jesus and the man kept saying how amazed he was that all of this was happening, as he had heard and seen other people have these experiences but it had never happened to him. When we got to the beach the Good News of Jesus was given out loud and with the paper, as well as praying in circles holding by the wrist, with the people being explained the Good News of Jesus and then saying the prayer of Salvation as the Holy Spirit had me say it for them to repeat. The man kept saying how he does not see people who say they are Christian doing those things in places like that to which I answered that the Lord has people in different areas and careers proclaiming HIS Good News as HE is not coming back as we read in Matthew 24 till everyone has heard that message. The Holy Spirit is so specific and amazing, the God who sees.

After the baptism was done in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit, a reflecting time was given to the man as he stood in the water, then we sat under an umbrella and some rented chairs, reflecting and sharing testimonies, as a man came taking pictures with a professional camera who was also prayed for, then a man who was selling bracelets with stones and the Holy Spirit directed to give them both an offering and a bracelet was bought to the man who was baptized in remembrance of the baptism, he was so thankful, crying and saying how special he was made to be, which he is to the Lord, as he was reminded, all for the souls in the Great Commission. We then took the bus back; on our way he was led to encourage us to walk so that the message of Jesus could be given on the way and then we took the bus, seeing the sugar mill train, which could be heard from the hotel the Holy Spirit has me in and I had told the Lord I wanted to see it. The Good News of Jesus was given on the way both out loud as well as with the paper, on clubs, billiards and to specific people. The man, now brother in Christ kept saying how “Christians” are not seen in those places sharing the Good News of Jesus with love.

Once at the corner, we prayed and said goodbye, he has my number and we will see how the discipleship is done now so that the Lord’s purposes could be accomplished. He went one way and I went the other way. On the way to the room, I was led to pray for all that had happened thought the day for the souls, took a shower releasing all to the Lord, researching the different tattoos the brother had on his body and their meaning in the gang world, prayed, and went to sleep, being woken up around 5AM to ask a couple of sisters for an offering for the meals and the things needed for the next day, with two sending, one $20 dollars and the other $52. Also being reminded of Nicaragua where the Holy Spirit had me for 5 months in the Capital, as well as an Island called Ometepe, where there was a lot of a lot happening spiritually and the “leader” of the group that took advantage of people there would try to be of temptation for me and the Lord appeared as a shadow visibly so that the man could see the Lord is with me, the Holy Spirit had me get him a Bible as my daughter was coming to see me, and the Holy Spirit after I took my daughter to the airport told me not to go back that he was going to deal with the man, as he was the only one from that group that did not repent and kept damaging people.

The Good News of Jesús has also been given to the men and women who work at the hotel and have been prayed for as led by the Holy Spirit while in the Hotel, and thru the phone’s translator and one of them hugged me and offered to do my laundry and bring it to the room. I heard to do the laundry today as Saturday will be going to the next place here in La Romana, with the leading and anointing of the Holy Spirit. We spent some time sharing worship songs, testimonies and prayers as one of the women also translated and testified. The woman who offered to do the laundry for me said she was doing it for the blessing of God. The love of the Holy Spirit transcends cultures and language.  Thank you Jesús, Holy Spirit.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
