January 30, 2026. Yesterday heard to stay in, rested, listened to the word, watched some testimonies of people who have been transformed by the Holy Spirit, the room was cleaned by the people who are sent by the woman who owns the room and cried out to the Lord to help with the collapsing sense while out there and today did not feel like collapsing, thanks to the Lord. I started hearing yesterday the name of the town here in Bani to go to, as a few days ago while out in the Great Commission, as I was led to share a young man who drives a Margarita, which is what they call the motorcycles here in Bani that look like tiny cars told me he lives in this town where there are a lot of young people who smoke something called a Blady, which is like a vape, who are also into other things and I felt a tug from the Holy Spirit, just as when someone says that is a very dangerous neighborhood so today I woke up, listened to the Bible, felt very sleepy and heavy, as it happens when the enemies of the souls know that we are going out to save, redeem, wake up lives in Jesus name, but I kept hearing let’s eat, get ready and go. I kept hearing the name Limonal alto, which is the name the young man said the other day, I heard what to wear, as well as which sandals to wear and on the bus, to ask where to take the bus there.
El Limonal is a rural community (or distrito municipal) located in the mountainous area near Baní, in the Peravia Province of the Dominican Republic.
Here are the key details about Limonal, Baní:
- Location and Landscape: It is situated in the highlands (partes altas) and is known for its rural, mountainous scenery, fresh air, and lush nature. It is often accessed via roads near Valdesia.
- Significance: The area serves as a watershed for the Valdesia Dam, which supplies water to the Peravia province and Greater Santo Domingo.
- Tourism/Activity: The area is gaining recognition for mountain and agricultural tourism, offering scenic views, and is reachable by 4×4 vehicles.
- Community Profile: It is described as a quiet, “camp” (countryside) area often highlighted for its local, rural lifestyle.
Translation Note:
- Limonal: In Spanish, “limonal” means a lemon grove or a place where lemon trees grow.
- Limonal, Baní: Refers specifically to the “Lemon Grove” community in the city of Baní.
I was led to call the Margarita driver that I was connected with when arriving here to the center of Bani, Dominican Republic, he told me that I could take the bus in the local market, to which I went downstairs took a motor taxi that took me to the market, where there was a small bus that was leaving at 3PM, which gave me time to walk some of the market areas, giving out the Good News of Jesus out loud and thru the paper, praying with some people too as heard from the Holy Spirit, then getting on the bus a few minutes before it was leaving. I was led to notice that there were many Botanicas in the area, which has a huge spiritual significance with what is being fought with, as each of the “saints”, statues and many of the items call a different demon when used, which people who engage in many of these practices do not understand, which also explains the heaviness and warfare encountered while in this city, as each of those principalities fights for the souls as well. Once people accept Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit the Lord opens the minds and people are delivered from all of that and can deliver others with this understanding, in Jesus’s name. Revelations 21: 5 And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” 6 And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7 All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. 8 “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
A botánica (or botanical shop) is a retail store common in Latino communities that sells religious goods, folk medicine, herbs, candles, statues of saints, oils, and incense, often catering to spiritual practices like Santeria or, in some contexts, simply herbal medicine. The term is Spanish for “botany” or “plant store”.
Key Aspects of a Botánica:
- Cultural/Spiritual Center: These shops serve as a place for traditional healing and community support.
- Products: They stock a wide range of items, including candles, perfumes, incense, herbs, roots, books, and statues of saints, orishas, and popular deities.
- Purpose: Items are used for spiritual rituals, prayers, and to seek remedies for spiritual or physical ailments.
- Alternative Name: Sometimes referred to as a hierbería (herbal shop) or botica.
To get to the place called Alto de Limonal here in Bani there were so many beautiful mountains and hills on the way, the bus had to stop to get some strength to go up and up the hills, it was a beautiful view, with also a mix of wooden houses and cement house that as a local explained are made by people who immigrate outside of the country and send money for those houses to be built. When arriving saw the big sign for the place, there were many groups of mostly young and middle-aged men sitting on plastic chair, went up to each group as led by the Holy Spirit and in some had them hold their wrist, explain the Good News of Jesus after giving them the paper and had them say the prayer of Salvation out loud so that they could have an encounter with the Holy Spirit and get baptized in immersion in water. The environment would change after they said the prayer of salvation, as we learn in the Bible that the one who convinces is the Holy Spirit, that is why sanctification is so attacked, here I get and have gotten attacked with temptations I have fallen into before, with a lot of sexual thoughts and that is why being in the Bible and having a relationship and daily communion with the Holy Spirit as HE teaches us to take a hold of those thoughts, rebuke them, pray and learn where they are coming from and what is their purpose. The enemy attacks our minds and tempts us so when we fall into those temptations or put the thoughts he gives us in action it will affect sanctification and therefore affect the relationship and flow of the Holy Spirit, the Lord does use everything for the ministering of others, but it does affect us till we recuperate when we fall into temptation, which is the enemies of our souls goal, but Jesus wins as we choose HIM and repent. The enemies of our souls would want nothing more than for us to stay condemned and take us to where they are going, but we must always repent, learn from the temptation and keep moving forward with the Lord that understands more than we can ever imagine how the spiritual realm works. Romans 8: 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[p] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Galatians 5: 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
When coming back there was a group of motorcycle drivers where one offered to bring me back, to give him what I could, as he was thankful for the message and had been waiting the whole day to make some money. The view on the way back was beautiful, shared some things with the drives as the Holy Spirit led, the motorcycle driver was led to take me to a well knows bakery in town, where I was led to get him bread for him and his family and share the Good News of Jesus with the people in the bakery. When he dropped me off I gave the motorcycle as led but the Holy Spirit, I was led to then visit the woman who owns the hair salon who said that she has been hoping the Lord sends me to her home, I told her I would pray about it and let her know, as I have learned to only go where the Holy Spirit leads, as that is where we are given HIS authority and HE will move mightily. I took a shower, drank some water, had a sandwich, watched some testimonies and heard to write and share the testimony about today.
