Less of me, more of You//Más de Ti, menos de mí

Reading for today Psalms 25, 91 and Isaiah 56.

October 11, 2025. Yesterday after listening to the Bible, praying and surrendering all to the Lord; I started getting ready to go to the town called Salcedo that I had been hearing to go to. I had some breakfast, sharing a couple of cups of oatmeal with some of the people in the area, as led by the Holy Spirit, then heading to the bus stop that would take me to La Vega to then take a bus to the area in Salcedo I was hearing to go to. The Good News of Jesus paper was given on the way person by person, then when arriving to the the center of Salcedo in the park there were a few homeless people in the park and some of the people from the community. The day before yesterday I received and offering from a man that came to see me at the hotel’s restaurant, after I had not seen them since I was a young adult. He is a Christian who has the gift of healing and deliverance and uses it also to heal people in the community and abroad. The offerings has helped with the needed things to do the Great Commission. In Salcedo after the park I was led to go into this bar/restaurant and it was for the owner who stated she has lived in the USA for many years to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior to be prayed for healing in her back, she testified with the woman that works for her after she was prayed for, they served me food and then a sister was led to send me an offering which served to get to the museum of the Mirabal sister’s that is in the next town. These sister’s were killed in the revolution against a dictator that govern the Dominican Republic for many years, there is more information about Salcedo and the sisters in a link at the end of this blog post. It took two buses to get to Salcedo and a motor taxi to get to the museum, the mountains and the greenery make up for the trip and it is such a humbling honor to travel and have access to the Lord’s creation. All for the souls in the Great Commission.

I was led to get some chicken soup for dinner when I arrived to Bonao, as is a room with a bathroom the Holy Spirit has me in, breakfast, lunch and dinner have to be bought, to which the Holy Spirit has provided. I was tired but the women in the restaurant with whom I have spoken to about the mission and the Good News of Jesus, with one coming up to me and saying that another one of the women in the restaurant told her I am a missionary, then a conversation about God started with the other employees as it was raining the Holy Spirit worked it out to have that space and time. They were encouraged to read the Bible and seek the Lord more, it was awesome. Then I went up to the room, took a nap for a few minutes, drinking the soursop, insuline leaves and cinnamon tea that one of the women who works in the kitchen who has also become a disciple was led to make each week, after the Lord provides to go to the local market to get beets, celery, pineapple, lime, carrots and dragon fruit to make the juice with a juicer she has, then another one of the women who works at the reception who for the glory of God accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior who was led to make the tea. The Lord as I shared in one of the latest post provides the community and all that is needed for HIS Great Commission as we read in Matthew 28.

Today was led to wake up later to rest and refill, then I prayed, ate half a muffin and a capuchinno that was bought the day before and kept in the mini fridge of the hotel room where the Lord has me. Then I started getting ready to bring the clothe to the laundry that washes it by the pound, giving the Good News of Jesus paper to the worker in the laundry mat, then doing my nails, with also giving the Good News of Jesus paper to watch of the workers. After going back to the hotel to give the gifts the Lord had sent them from the museum, such as butterfly key chains, post card and or bracelet to some of the women disciples in the hotel, they got teary eye and hugged me, the Holy Spirit has such personal ways to get to people. Some of the women workers of the hotel and restaurant are starting to open up, asking also for advice an following the instructions the Holy Spirit give thru me for their different life situations. One of them also offered to wash the clothe I have as they get dirty so that I don’t have to pay for that, which is the Lord building community. It’s amazing how specific the Lord is with where HE has us stay, so specific. The God who sees. Then I was led to get lunch and get more fruits and vegetables to hand to the woman that makes the juice, together with the gifts the Lord had sent her. I got some rest and after went to get the clothe that was washed and was led to get my hair done to cover the grays and a haircut, and it was to talk to the owner whom has had an encounter with the Holy Spirit, pray for her and give the Good News of Jesus to each of the workers, to also get invited to a local church, as there was a woman who’s mother is also a missionary and they felt the fact that I am a missionary and the owner felt the presence of the Holy Spirit the moment she saw me in the hotel’s restaurant she said. The owner offered to take me to the church in the morning if she is not busy.

Thanking the Lord for all who are praying for both my daughter and I. Thanking the Lord also for all HE has been sending my way to get better naturally.
