Reading: Matthew 6:25-34, John 3:16-21 and 1 Corinthians 13.

February 14, 2025. Today after listening to the Bible in the book of Ezequiel where the Holy Spirit has me; prayed on my knees, spoke and heard from the Lord as to what to wear and where to go today to share the Good News of Jesus, which today again HE sent me to the historic area called la Zona Colonial, or Colonial Zone to share the Good News of Jesus thru the paper and spoken, to also pray that the area where my feet would touch with the Holy Spirit filling and guidance, as HE said which streets to go into and which not for today would be filled with HIS Holy Spirit. While walking to the area where the Holy Spirit sent me to, where HE constantly reminds me that is not about the destiny but the journey, as on the way to the places a lot is seen and done too with the Great Commission, I was able to share the Good News of Jesus businesses to businesses and homes to homes, where there were a lot of altars for different deities with candles burning in front of them. Many people until they receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and have an filling of the Holy Spirit combine “faith” with “spirituality”, which what we don’t understand until an encounter with the Holy Spirit, and read the Bible, which is our manual as believers in Jesus, is that we are calling all of those spirits to come into our homes and what it says in Galatians 5: 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. And: Revelations 21: “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Our eyes like Saul; who after having an encounter with the Holy Spirit on the way to Damascus became Paul, which we read in the Book of Acts 8 and Acts 9, are covered and when we are anointed with the Holy Spirit the scales come off and we are able to see and understand the things of the Holy Spirit, that is why we should never try to teach the things of the Holy Spirit to someone who has not received Jesus as their Lord and Savior and has gotten baptized by submersion in water and the Holy Spirit, being baptized and discipled by someone filled with the Holy Spirit. The things of the Holy Spirit are only understood thru the Holy Spirit as we read and or have read in: 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned”.

Explanation:

This verse means that people cannot understand spiritual things without the help of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit reveals truth and helps people understand the gifts and blessings God has given them.

The verse also highlights the need for divine revelation and human limitations. For example, only the Spirit knows God’s thoughts, just as a person knows their own thoughts.

The phrase “the things of the Spirit” also appears in Romans 8:5.

The Colonial Zone in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was founded in 1496 by Bartolomé Columbus. It is the oldest European settlement in the Americas.

History:

  • The Spanish established their first colony in the Western Hemisphere in Santo Domingo in 1496.
  • The city was almost completely built during the 16th century.
  • In 1990, the entire Colonial Zone was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Features:

  • The Colonial Zone is a bustling district with shops, restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs.
  • It is known for its historic Spanish Colonial buildings and monuments.
  • The area is partially barricaded by stone walls, accented with baroque architecture, and lies on cobblestone streets.
  • The Colonial Zone is home to some of the city’s best known historic sites.

Notable sites:

Calle Las Damas: The first paved street in the Americas, which is now lined with former colonial buildings turned into museums, embassies, and upscale hotels.

Alcázar de Colón: The former colonial palace of the Columbus family, which is now a museum.

The Dominican Republic’s flag was designed by Juan Pablo Duarte and Concepción Bona, and first raised at the Puerta del Conde in Santo Domingo on February 27, 1844.

Explanation

  • Design Juan Pablo Duarte designed the flag in 1838, and it was approved by Los Trinitarios. Concepción Bona, a nursery school teacher, created the flag with her cousin, María de Jesús Pina, Isabel Sosa, and María Trinidad Sánchez.
  • Raising of the flag Francisco del Rosario Sánchez raised the flag for the first time at the Puerta del Conde, proclaiming the nation’s independence. The Puerta del Conde is an arched gate that was part of the old entrance wall to the Colonial City.
  • Significance The Puerta del Conde is one of the most symbolic locations in the Dominican Republic. It’s now the main entrance to Independencia Park, where the Founding Fathers’ mausoleum rests.

The Dominican Republic’s flag was inspired by Juan Pablo Duarte’s ideas about freedom. Duarte was one of the organizers of La Trinitaria, a revolutionary group that aimed to gain independence from Haitian occupation.

It is important to ask the Holy Spirit for the history of the places the Holy Spirit sends us to do the Great Commission so that we can also have understanding from the Holy Spirit, as we also pray and the Holy Spirit lets us know of the spiritual sense of it and why the Holy Spirit sends us to share the Good News of Jesus so that the people can have healing, restoration, purpose, forgiveness, eternal life, fruits, gifts thru the repentance of sins(meaning of sin: the act of going against God’s will, or breaking God’s law.) accepting Jesus as our Lord and savior as we read in John 14:6:Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. And: Romans 10: 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[e] 12 Jew and Gentile[f] are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Today I was also reminded of Matthew 6:24-34, which is a reminder on not living worried and trusting in the Lord as we do the Great Commission, which has been a process for me after being called to live by faith to do the Great Commission, as I left to the place the Holy Spirit sent me today, without a penny, but filled with the Holy Spirit, without phone/internet service, as the phone package ended, but with my belly full and the authority and protection of the Holy Spirit, to which I am expecting miracles and wonders with the provision and the souls, as the Lord never leaves us and or forsakes us when doing HIS will.

In one of the places a young man agreed to give me a cup of water and I am sure the Lord will move people to send offerings as HE always reminds me that where HE sends HE provides, one way or another, all for HIS glory and for HIS kingdom to come and will to be done in Jesus name.

Thankful for those who are praying for both my daughter and I, for those who have and will also be of monetary support for this Great Commission, all for the souls. The Holy Spirit prays for us and intercedes for us in many ways as we read in John 17 thru HIS body, a He is a spirit HE moves those who will pray and give, in Jesus name.

Some history about Valentine’s Day: has been celebrated since at least the 6th century BC, but it became associated with love in the 14th and 15th centuries.

Origins:

  • The holiday may have originated with Lupercalia, a Roman festival that celebrated fertility
  • It may have been named after a Roman priest who was martyred around 270 CE
  • It may have been named after St. Valentine of Terni, a bishop

Romantic associations:

  • The holiday became associated with romantic love in the 14th and 15th centuries
  • The holiday became associated with birds because the avian mating season begins in mid-February
  • The holiday became associated with Cupid, the Roman god of love

Modern celebrations:

  • In the 18th century, people began exchanging greeting cards, called “valentines”, to express love
  • In the 19th century, mass-produced greeting cards became popular
  • Traditional gifts include candy and flowers, especially red roses

Other traditions:

  • In Italy, lovers give each other Saint Valentine’s keys as a romantic symbol
  • In the Anglican Communion and the Lutheran Church, Valentine’s Day is a day of commemoration

At the end of the day I was led to go up to the rooftop, pray, put worship, asking the Holy Spirit to fill the area with the Holy Spirit as people receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Then finished the discipleship de today with the book of Matthew with the mother and son with Matthew 13, as led by the Holy Spirit. There was a lot of warfare thru discouragement for them and distractions, but the Holy Spirit’s will always gets accomplished. There is no stopping the Holy Spirit. All for the souls and the Great Commission, in Jesus name. It is not easy but if anyone understands and knows is the Lord who came to be fully human thru Jesus. The Lord always reminds that it is his fight, we are instruments to only do as HE says, nothing more, nothing less. The Lord is the savior, we are instruments in the creator’s hands, for HIS kingdom to come and for those who are meant to understand to understand.

Matthew 16: 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.

Please be a partner with what the Holy Spirit is doing for the souls, for HIS Great Commission with how ever much the Holy Spirit leads you, it will be a blessing to so many. To get some needed items, internet, transportation, making copies of the Good News of Jesus paper, drinking water, food which is also being led to be given in some vulnerable areas where the Good News of Jesus will be given and other needed expenses for the Great Commission, as led by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 11:1 TLV: Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Messiah.

Acts‬ ‭20‬:‭35‬ ‭TLV “In all things I have shown you an object lesson—that by hard work one must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Yeshua, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’’
