Less of me, more of You//Más de Ti, menos de mí

Reading for today: 2 Samuel 17.

July 5, 2024. Today woke up, listened to the Bible on my phone, got on my knees and gave the Lord the day, thanking HIM for what HE did on the cross, crying out to HIM for the city of Montgomery, Alabama, as I was provided after asking for the room for the next State in Tennessee. The bus ticket to the state that would take 13 and a half hours from 10:20am to 11:30pm. Once the time came with what was led from the provision sent the day before ordered a taxi to the bus station from the motel the Lord had had me doing the Great Commission. The area where the motel is has been going thru a lot with a lot of homeless individuals who have come to the area, it made sense that the Holy Spirit told me HE needed me there, as a lot of the Good News of Jesus was shared in the area, with prayers and encouragement for those who I would be led to speak to. The Lord is so intentional about HIS creation. Then got to share the Good News with the taxi driver, arrived to the bus station and there were many homeless individuals there and the Good News of Jesus paper was shared one by one as I waited to take the first bus. Then on the bus the driver seemed to be going thru a lot and with the provision a seat was set on the front but I was told by the driver to go to the back that there were no assigned seats in the bus, there was a man pointing to a seat and I sat there. Before the bus left I was led to share the Good News of Jesus out loud on the bus, which led to some people making questions and the questions being answered as the Holy Spirit led.

We arrived to the first place in Atlanta, Georgia to wait for a few minutes to take the bus here to Memphis, Tennessee. In the bus station the Good News of Jesus was led to be shared out loud, giving the Good News of Jesus paper to specific individuals as the Holy Spirit led. There is a sense of need of the Lord in a lot of the bus stations, as many homeless people and people in transition stay or go by, but there is also a sense of racial division in the south that is very palpable and it makes sense that the Lord send people to bring encouragement and hope to so many. Many would ask if I had a church or where did I gather people, as they felt the Love of the Holy Spirit, which I would explain that the Lord has me in the streets where the people are. Then the bus came and a line was made, but in this one they did honor the seating as paid and there were many stops along the way, which made it less tiring and in each stop the Good News of Jesus was shared either out loud or person by person.

We stopped in Birmingham, Alabama, where I had been before to take the bus to Montgomery, Alabama and it was for some of the homeless people that came in to cool off and or use the bathroom, with one in particular that asked me where did I gather people after receiving the Good News of Jesus paper and being prayed for, I spoke to him as the Holy Spirit led and then the transit police came and took him out of the station. We then got back on the bus and made a few more stops along the way in different towns in different states. We stopped at a gas station that also had some hot food around 7pm which was a blessing as I had not had a hot meal till then, it was also for the young woman that works at the restaurant across from where the bus stopped who had questions and asked for another one of the papers to give to someone else. We left and when I came back to the bus there was a woman sitting next to my seat who felt very protective over her seat and I told her it was fine that the seat I was assigned to was the one next to her, she became very uncomfortable to which I heard that they have been thru a lot and that the racial divide was what was going on, the woman was dark skin and I forgot I look white sometimes which I forget about the racial situation in America sometimes, as the Lord teaches us that He has come for all, but it is a reality and has been a reality in many places in America. I was led to apologize to the woman by the Holy Spirit and to give her the Good News of Jesus paper which she took and the Lord knows how it worked as racial reconciliation, which is what we are called to be. It is sad all that people of certain races go thru, but the Lord who is a redeemer changes that.

The last stop was in a gas station where when I went to use the bathroom there was a mom and a young son outside, I went to the bathroom, was led to give the Good News of Jesus paper to the man at the register and the mom and son were still outside, I was led to give the Good News of Jesus paper to the mother and she hugged me and was so thankful, as she was just praying as she had heard to go out as a missionary with her young son and needed a confirmation. The God who sees, who’s timing is so perfect and I was reminded of Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” The Lord has a way of reminding that it is not only about the destination but the journey, as so much happens on the way to the places where we are being sent.

When arriving to the bus stop in Memphis, TN; there were some homeless people in the station and outside of the station, where I was led to give them the Good News of Jesus paper and one person said that that was the most dangerous part of the city and I was led to tell the person that the Lord sends the light where the darkness is to bring healing, identity, restoration, forgiveness, purpose, eternal life, and so much more thru Jesus, that when we walk with the Holy Spirit one of us is worth a thousand, that we are never alone and that there is a sense of peace when we know who’s we are and where we are going at the end of our lives or when the Lord comes back. Was led to order a taxi online with what was left from the offerings, gave the driver a Good News of Jesus paper, I was led by the Holy Spirit to ask him if he could put a Christian station called Klove and he listened to the station the whole way. The Holy Spirit has many ways of ministering to people as HE is a spirit and Christian music is one of them. When arriving to the motel, gave the Good News of Jesus to the attendant who was behind a bullet proof glass, who took my ID and gave me a room, the place seems to have been painted recently but the cleaning is lacking, so I proceeded to get the garbage out that was in the room and asked the attendant for some towels and new bags. The air conditioner was not working to which the attendant said it would cool off later. I have been placed in all kinds of places, being reminded that it is all about the souls. It is also a reminder that nothing is about us and that there is a place to lay the head and shower. Every time I am placed somewhere I pray for the authority of the Holy Spirit to fill the place and go about the Great Commission. So much happens in these motels and are not the cleanest, but it is about the souls. I went and gave the Good News of Jesus paper around 1am as people came in and out of the motel, so much happens in the places the Lord places us, as in the places the Holy Spirit leads me to be are places where HIS message is needed and in a timely matter. In the morning I asked again for the air conditioner and was switched rooms not too far from the other on the first floor. I have around $18 dollars left, which I am praying as the room is paid till the 8th in the morning, filling the area with the Holy Spirit and the Good News of Jesus, that the Lord as HE always does leads as to who will give for the food, needed items and moving forward, in Jesus name, as HE has done and will continue to do. Thankful for those who are praying for both my daughter and I, for those also who have been led to partner up with this Great Commission as the Holy Spirit leads from State to state in the United States. May HIS kingdom come and will be done.
