Reading for today: 1 Samuel 15.
June 1, 2024. Today after a night with a lot of pain in my body, as when we are connected to the Holy Spirit we get to feel everything that is happening in the areas we are placed in, as well as because of all the victories in the Spirit that have been happening. After praying and crying out to the Lord was able to sleep for a bit, then woke up read the Daily office devotional for today, gave the day to the Lord, asked HIM some questions, cried out to HIM again and heard who to ask for an offering for the needed items for today, made a sandwich, as where the Lord has me there is a toaster, a microwave and a hot water kettle, which are a blessing, each place the Lord places me in I get to conform to what ever is available or HE provides to cook or eat. It has been an adventure as there are places where there are different kinds of stoves, or no stove, but the Holy Spirit makes sure the needed items to eat or drink are there. The devotional really spoke to me and was a reminder of what the Lord is constantly talking about resting, being still in doing and resting on HIS love alone. Another thing that was highlighted for me with the reading in 1 Samuel 15 is that even thought we are surrounded by people at times our identity has to be grounded in the word, as there could be different reactions to the correction or conviction of the Holy Spirit, sometimes or most of the time only the Holy Spirit knows what HE is doing or saying to people thru us and depending on where they are or not in their relationship to Jesus is how their reaction will be. 1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Our identity has to be so grounded in the Lord at all times, as one day people can say they like you so much and the next day they are screaming, falsely accusing or rejecting, again depending on what they are carrying and or how they feel convicted or corrected by the Holy Spirit. In the time I have been called to the Great Commission and in the process of learning I have made mistakes, fallen into temptation many times, but the Lord in HIS mercy and grace sends word, reminds me of HIS love, gives time to the Holy Spirit to grief the disobedience that happened, as it feels like someone died in me, which is the case as the Holy Spirit goes thru everything with us, as HE is inside of us after we have accepted Jesus and have gotten baptized and I am able to learn, repent and minister to others.
There are places where the Lord has sent me where people want to kill me for like 3 months with a knife, then by the third month they are accepting a Bible study in their home, there has been places where I am spat at or screamed at (not because of me but because of the Holy Spirit), there are places where they fall in “love” with me, not having understanding that is with the Holy Spirit in me they are falling in love with, a they want to be delivered and because they are rejected they make up things about me, there has been places where no one wants me in a place, again because of the rejection to the correction from the Holy Spirit and the Lord keeps me in those places until the Great Commission is accomplished and also working on endurance. There is a price we pay for being the Holy Spirit vessels but the Lord reminds us with Romans 8:18 Paul says, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. From time to time I think about when I was not a Christian and I was doing so many things that were hurting the Lord without knowing or having understanding, the pain the Lord must have felt and feels when we are destroying HIS temple that is the body in so many ways, but it is not until we have an encounter with the Holy Spirit thru Jesus that we understand that in every decision we are making we are taking the Holy Spirit with us, to either suffer the crucifixion again or to be pleased with our obedience.“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” is a verse from the Bible, 1 Corinthians 6:19. The verse continues, “You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies”. Then with the reading with 1 Samuel 15 where it talks about the disobedience of Saul by not doing what the Lord commanded HIM to do thru Samuel the prophet and how Saul’s disobedience caused him the kingdom; was a reminder that we are the Lord’s friends if we obey him, as the Lord knows why HE is asking us to do what HE is asking us to do, HE knows the people, the situations and all better than anyone. The Lord wants us to get to the kingdom, the new heaven and new earth as we read in: Revelations 21:Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
It is not easy or it does not always makes sense to us when the Holy Spirit prompts us to say or do something, but the more we learn to recognize HIS voice the more we can obey HIM and be the vessels that bring HIS kingdom to earth as it is in heaven as we read in Matthew 6:10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.. And John 10: 27 My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. With recognizing the Lord’s voice after we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior recognizing that HE died on the cross, we are baptized by the Holy Spirit, we get baptized in water submersion, we surrender every day, meaning we get on our knees, humble our selves before the Lord, we thank HIM for what HE did on the cross and we read the Bible as it is our manual to learn and see vividly how the Lord spoke to each person, be corrected and be prepared for the Great Commission, as we read in Matthew 28.
We will be tempted with our own desires by the darkness as we read in James 1: 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death. 16 Do not be [a]deceived, my beloved brothers and sisters. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or [b]shifting shadow. We will fall into temptation as we learn, sometimes the Lord will permit those things to happen, even thought it hurst us and HIM, so we also are able to learn and minister to others, HE does not stop talking to us in the midst of the temptation or disobedience when HE has chosen us, he will send songs, messages, people, the Lord is pleased when we repent, learn and do not do it over and over again as we read in 1 John 3:See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears[a] we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. 4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s[b] seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother(Christian brother or sister). We are constantly learning, constantly being processed, constantly growing, constantly being filled with the Holy Spirit that is so attacked everyday by the enemies of our souls that we learn in Ephesians 6:10-18, but with being in HIS presence everyday, humbling ourselves to the Lord everyday, reading HIS Bible, with HIS giving us discernment, wisdom, in our weakness the Holy Spirit being strong we are reminded that in John 10: 27-28: Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. Let us choose Jesus/Holy Spirit everyday as HE is the way the truth and the life and the only way to get to God, remembering that no one can serve two masters we are either serving the Holy Spirit who provides forgiveness, purpose, eternal life, fruits, gifts and so much more or Satan who’s only purpose is take people to a horrible place. It all works out well for those who are in Christ as we read in Romans 8: 28 And we know that [a]God [b]causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Before proclaiming Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are or were imperfect broken vessels put together/redeemed by Jesus to redeem others to Jesus/Holy Spirit.
Let us take the time to reflect on what the Holy Spirit is trying to make us understand with these teaching, let’s choose Jesus/ Holy Spirit, and as HE speaks to us in the way we understand; let’s be obedient.

Jesus wants you to know that HE LOVES YOU. He wants a relationship with you. Our sins separate us from God when we break his commandments. But if we repent and accept Jesus as our God and Savior, there is forgiveness, healing, restoration, purpose, eternal life, and much more.
