Less of me, more of You//Más de Ti, menos de mí

Reading for today: 1 Samuel 9.

May 25, 2024. Today woke up with a very very heavy and dark spiritual sense, some people were anointed with the Holy Spirit and some accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior recently and the darkness was letting me feel how upset they are with the victories, but Jesus wins. Read the Bible on 1 Samuel 9 which speaks of someone being directed to anoint someone with the Holy Spirit and it was a reminder of how clear and specific the Lord is, prayed and surrendered the day to the Lord, putting on the full armor, covering with the Holy Spirit for both my daughter and I, then eating something as the fast finished for the day and started walking towards the area where I heard to walk. Before arriving to the area where I heard to walk to; I was led to ask a few sisters to please uplift me in prayer, as the Holy Spirit led without much explanation and one . Yesterday I was led to ask two people for an offering for this weekend and did not hear back from them. The Lord has me asking each day to different people for the reasons HE knows, which is so humbling and interesting at times, making me understand that nothing is about me, but HIS purposes and HIS Great Commission. Then as I walked two sisters were led to send $20 dollars each, which served for transportation to get a meal and then I was led to go to the City where the Holy Spirit first called, where my daughter and I had been living since my daughter was 1 years old, where we had our first official full apartment in 2007, where after going thru a flooding in a garage we were living in, the Lord opened the door to this apartment in Yonkers, NY with 3 and a half bedrooms, a big living room and a big kitchen. My daughter was around 8 years old at that time. The Lord and HIS ways as there was a bigger purpose that we would see unfolding after 2011 where we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior thru understanding the sacrifice the Lord thru Jesus did for us on the cross, my daughter coming to Jesus thru a song called ocean, she was baptized in a beach and I was baptized in a metal tub in a church for people in the street. At that time I had no idea why I was giving my life to Jesus and or the plans the Lord had with our lives. After going thru the rebirth the Lord used a Christian camp where there was a conversation about hearing from God and they explained how the Lord as HE is a spirit can speak thru many different ways such as songs, sermons, TV, Radio, thru people, for us to close our eyes and see what we heard, at that moment I closed my eyes and heard that I was going to church plant in Yonkers and that the call was for the Homeless, gang members, drug dealers, incarcerated, previously incarcerated and much more. I got up and said NO, as I had never read the Bible, I felt so unqualified, not understanding that it is not by power or knowledge is by the Holy Spirit that all is done, which I would be made to understand everyday by the Holy Spirit who would even have the populations show up where we lived, as I was walking and everywhere I would be, as they were seeking the light, to be delivered, healed, be set free and all the Lord thru Jesus/Holy Spirit does. It was a process of making me understand that the Lord had called me for such time and place, as there was a beautification plan and that plan included the population HE was calling me to. I kept hearing to leave the job in 30 days which was interesting to me as I had never met anyone living like that and it also challenged the people around me and the denominations they were part of who did not believe in women doing anything but care for the children.

Arriving to the area where we lived was interesting, there was a different sense in the air, was only led to go to the mechanics to pray with them and a couple that lived next door. One of the people told me her son was now a Christian praising the Lord who was almost going to be a pastor. I remember the warfare in that place, where my daughter and I would have the same nightmares, there were nights where I felt like I was loosing my mind and I would just sit at a bench on the avenue, I felt like my body was breaking bone by bone and I learned about spiritual warfare by living it and being reminded of the price of answering the call to the Great Commission and how much the principalities who had recruited in that city hated us. It was by the strength of the Holy Spirit, prayer, intercession and online videos that the Lord carried us thru. We were heavily attacked because of all of the people for God’s glory that were coming out of addiction, prostitution, human trafficking, prostitution, generational curses, witchcraft, and the upstairs neighbors and the downstairs neighbors and the next door neighbors were also part of the attacks, having parties till 6AM, during the week and any day, some did end up accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, it was real, dark and only by the Holy Spirit were we able to endure. The Holy Spirit provided spaces to gather the people and baptized them in the downtown are, where community was also built thru being in the places the Holy Spirit knew they would be such as the library, food pantries, shelters and jail, where the Holy Spirit would open doors to rise and build disciples, saturating the downtown and borderline area with the Holy Spirit, building by building, business by business, with HIS provision thru people and His Holy Spirit. This was done till 2021, where the Holy Spirit had me put everything needed in a suitcase surrendering everything, paying for my daughter’s education, placing her in a job and a place to live for me to start the 21 country journey with the Great Commission in the red zones with the same populations.

In Yonkers was led to go to a couples home where the husband was sitting outside, they gave me a bottle of water to drink, two biscottis and I was led to ask if they had any cash for me to buy some edibles and water needed, the husband had $20 dollars which he said was God as he never has cash. The wife was a bit challenged as usual by the Holy Spirit, shared some testimonies of her husband’s recovery and stated that I must be rich traveling 21 countries when she can’t or has only been to one, which I was led to tell her that we have the riches God who provides for HIS Great Commission in mighty ways. There are and were so many different reactions to the testimony of the walk of faith, but that is why our identity can not be in people or principalities, it has to be in who the Lord says we are and what HE needs us to do. He will send Holy Spirit filled people when needed. We are never alone. It is not easy that now HE has me asking, which is very uncomfortable, but it works in me and in the people who choose to give or not to give for HIS Great Commission, it must be challenging to give to something you can’t see or understand, or something that is sometimes seeing as amazing or weird how the Lord has me living like the first disciples in the Book of Acts where all of their dependance and guidance was by the Holy Spirit. I love one of the episodes in Season 3, in the chosen when Jesus has a meeting with the 12 disciples who had not yet received the Holy Spirit as the Lord had not yet died and HE was telling them how now they had to depend on people, to go where they were received, Matthew 10 explains it very clearly, click on the link to read it: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2010&version=NIV With the $20 I was able to get a shape up of the haircut with a woman on the way to the bus who needed to be prayed for, then a group of young men were in front of a barbershop in the area and also received the Good News of Jesus paper, as well as another group of men who were smoking and playing loud music on the way. Then at the bus stop by the last bus that needed to be taken I had $10 in cash and some in the card which served to get some water and needed food items for in between. Thanking the Lord for HIS provision. I am hearing to visit a church tomorrow; I am sure if the Holy Spirit wants me there HE will provide or make a way or HE will have me ask specific people after I ask HIM. Please keep praying for my daughter and I, for those around you and for more and more people to keep being risen to share boldly about Jesus, for more people to have an encounter with the Holy Spirit to receive healing, restoration, forgiveness, purpose, gifts of the Holy Spirit, fruits of the Holy Spirit to go thru the rebirth and answer the Great Commission, with the leading and authority of the Holy Spirit. Thankful for the place the Lord has me in for the time HE has me in it, and for all that He is doing which is understood overtime or HE understands.
