Less of me, more of You//Más de Ti, menos de mí

Reading for today Matthew 7.

May 14, 2024. Today woke up, after having a heavy heavy time to go to sleep, as was very attacked with so many thoughts from the darkness and challenging thoughts about the days to come. Which is what the principalities constantly do to exhaust us, distract and what John 10: ¹⁰ The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. This is darkness, enemies of our souls position till our last breath, that is why is so important to read and ask the Holy Spirit to help us understand Ephesians 6: ¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ¹³ Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, ¹⁵ and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. ¹⁸ And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

After getting on my knees I put in to practice what the Lord has been asking me to do which is to ASK, as we read in Matthew 7:⁷ “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ⁸ For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. ⁹ “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? ¹¹ If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Understanding that as Jesus Christ lives in us HIS desires become our desires. Galatians 2: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I asked HIM to please provide for the needed money for the day and the Holy Spirit led me to ask a young brother, and after asking him, talking and praying with the young brother; he was led to send $50 dollars thru an online app, which served to cover lunch at a place the Holy Spirit led to go to where the waitress needed to understand that after we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior as HE is the way, the truth and the life and the only way to get to God, as we read in John 14:6, and after we understanding that HE died and rose again accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior we are saved, as we read in Romans 10:9. We get baptized by submersion in water, in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit, as we read in Matthew 3, we receive the Holy Spirit(which some people receive before the water baptism, which happened to me), which baptism is a public confession of our faith, the death and resurrection of the man or woman and the new life starts as we read in John 3, where we surrender everything to the Lord everyday, humbling before HIM and the Holiness/sanctification process starts, Matthew 16:24 says, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me”. The verse continues, “You must stop thinking about yourself and what you want. You must be willing to carry the cross that is given to you for following me. Any of you who try to save the life you have will lose it”. The money the young brother was led to send was also used to get water and a warm drink in the next place the Holy Spirit led me to be in where people received the Good News of Jesus, were prayed for and some being led to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior and ask for the link to this page for more teachings and testimonies, as well as getting my contact information to keep me updated on their progress and also be discipled. The Holy Spirit kept me in each space until HE told me to move. The Holy Spirit is very specific about who and where to be, as HE knows who is meant to understand and where they are, THE GOD WHO SEES and is in constant pursue of HIS creation.

Then I sensed to go eat in a nearby restaurant for dinner and on the way the Holy Spirit placed this man who had been part of the first group in Yonkers, NY, where in 2015-2021 the Holy Spirit called me to church plant in Yonkers, NY with the homeless, gang members, drug dealers, LGBTQ+++ previously incarcerated and much more, where the Holy Spirit opened up spaces for us to gather during the week to go thru the book of Matthew first, then the book of John in the Shelters and opening the doors in the men’s jail as well. This man was part of the teachings in the shelter and now for the Glory of God he is working and has a full on relationship with the Lord, Jesus, Holy Spirit. It was so encouraging and so the Holy Spirit to place him on the way, as a reminder of the importance of obedience and what the Holy Spirit can do thru us as we remain Holy land and HE calls us to reach the populations HE calls us to reach. Only Jesus/ Holy Spirit. I have been so so so so so attacked lately that the Holy Spirit knew how to encourage, keep going and remind us that HIS joy is our strength. In Nehemiah 8: ¹⁰ Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

There were a few sisters in Christ and a young brother that were moved by the Holy Spirit to help me understand the ASKING, it is still a new concept for me, but the Lord will keep clarifying, as HE is a God of clarity not confusion. In the restaurant I was led to get dinner people received the Good News of Jesus as the Holy Spirit led, then I was led to call the brother who has been given the authority by the Holy Spirit of the house the Lord has me in since Saturday so him, his wife and I could pray and get clear direction of how long the Holy Spirit wants me there, we prayed so now the Holy Spirit will clarify and speak clearly. With the rest of the money led to be sent by the Holy Spirit by the Young brother got a dessert and headed back to the house where a Holy Spirit led conversation was had with another one of the three young men who have been discipled to answer the Great Commission, then I was led to take a shower leaving everything that had happened during the day in the water, and asking for clarity as to how long to be in the house. Every day we are being processed, molded, and loved by the Holy Spirit until our last breath or HE comes back.

Psalm 91

¹ Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.^[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

³ Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
⁴ He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
⁵ You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
⁶ nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
⁷ A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
⁸ You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

⁹ If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
¹⁰ no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
¹¹ For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
¹² they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
¹³ You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

¹⁴ “Because he^[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
¹⁵ He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
¹⁶ With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”
