Reading for today John 4

April 29, 2024. Today woke up, prayed as I got ready, was led to leave worship on as I took a shower and got dressed and then was led to listen to Psalm 23, which today was more felt than ever, for the reasons that the Holy Spirit knows. Then finished getting ready to head down to the homeless feeding time about 30 minutes away where the interfaith hotel staff has been feeding people for about 25 years, together with volunteers and the Holy Spirit has placed me in the hotel and to be part of the feeding to speak to people, pray with them, for them to be seen and heard and hear the Good News of Jesus the Jesus way. The Lord is so specific. It is a humbling honor to serve the creation of the Lord. Today also as it has happened before there was a woman and a man on the line that have been thru a “spiritual” journey who have had questions and the Holy Spirit has been giving the answers as asked. I am often led to tell people that we have access to the Lord and we can ask him that we want to have an encounter with HIM personally and HE will show us. We do not need to have all the answers as when we are given gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, after proclaiming Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we get baptized by submersion, we receive the Holy Spirit as it says in Acts 2, we go thru the rebirth as we read in John 3 and, then as we know what our gifts are thru asking the Holy Spirit; we do what it says in Ephesians 4: 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

While serving in the homeless feeding we had conversations as the Holy Spirit led to how there are many sects and false believes that can be used to bring so much confusion to so many, as we can read in Revelations 17 and Matthew 24. Everything is in the Bible, it is so important to read it as it says in 2 Timothy 3: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 the words of Scripture are “God breathed” or inspired. This implies that God is the source or origin of what is recorded in Scripture. God, through the Holy Spirit, used human authors to write what He revealed in the Bible. They were not mere copyists or transcribers. Anything that believes in demy gods or anything that it is not talking about Jesus being the way, the truth and the life and the only way to get to God is a cult, not of God. Anything that is believed in that is not eternal is not of God. We need to stand by the truth of what it says in John 14:Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. and Romans 10:If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. As believers we are seed planters for eternity and we are here to save lives and that might mean being persecuted, insulted, falsely accused and much more, as we read in Matthew 5: 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. But regardless of what we go thru everyone who is meant to understand will understand. Correction can also be uncomfortable, but we have to remember what it says in Hebrews 12: In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! 10 They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. 12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. The Lord makes sure that those who are meant to understand understand. When receiving the Holy Spirit we get discernment(It means “to understand or know something through the power of the Spirit. … It includes perceiving the true character of people and the source and meaning of spiritual manifestations”)which is also a blessing, which we read in: 1 Corinthians 12: Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. In the train people thru being guided and treated with kindness also received the Good News of Jesus, as well as being led to share the Good News of Jesus out loud on the train cart.

After arriving to the hotel, eating something, resting, refilling and unpacking all that happened, surrendering it all to the Lord, and handing HIM over anything that could have been released from people as they were prayed for and given understanding; I was led to sit at the common area, speaking to people and sharing the Good News of Jesus thru the paper and spoken, sharing some of the accessories brought from other countries, and being given a prayer item from India, I prayed that it would be filled with the Holy Spirit after receiving it and I sensed how the Holy Spirit filled it. We do not need anything between us and the Lord to talk to HIM and or pray, but I did feel like crying when the young lady gave me the praying item. Having an encounter with the Holy Spirit thru Jesus is the must powerful experience someone can have, it is the only way to get permanent healing, restoration, forgiveness, purpose, gifts, fruits, eternal life and much more to be part of the Great Commission, as we read in Matthew 28. When we have the Holy Spirit in us we have the creator of the universe inside of us and in the Bible it says that we would do greater things than HE and Mark 16: 17 These [a]signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
